Translation of the inscription engraved on the onphalos

Back in time
do you want oh Gods that I push myself?
Ch'io, now from immemorial human time,
to the divine lineage unite me
and at death do words come to life again?
Serious task and worthy Heracles
and not of sorcery, poor by now of the filters and powers of the past
But Kronos uselessly devoured his children
and I'll turn to Tyche!
In 15 rooms I will tell the story
and in each of them I will speed up the magic.
And may the Divine Metis, Athena Soteria and Apollo be
propitious, that Aphrodite and Hermes be near me, and Zeus the
Grande smiles at me serenely from her throne, giving me the slightest
caress of his last son Dionysus!
To you I ask for the compassionate look, since of Eros
i embraced the dangerous astral!
And that Hephaestus forges for me, that the joint Muse and Copy
inspire and that the Moirai make the thread long enough!
